Sometimes even the greatest cricketers make investments outside the game that fail. Learn from their mistakes.

  1. Yuvraj Singh: Yuvraj Singh, a former Indian cricketer, invested in a startup called Vyomo, which was an on-demand beauty services platform. However, the company failed to attract enough customers and eventually shut down.

  2. Sachin Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar invested in a joint venture with a real estate company, which was supposed to build a luxury apartment complex in Kochi. However, the project ran into legal troubles and delays, causing losses for investors, including Tendulkar.

  3. Virender Sehwag: Virender Sehwag invested in a startup called 22 Yards, which was a sports education platform. However, the company failed to gain traction and was shut down.

  4. Suresh Raina: Suresh Raina invested in a sports-based social networking platform called FanHero. However, the platform failed to attract enough users and was eventually shut down.

  5. Robin Uthappa: Robin Uthappa invested in a fashion startup called Spoyl, which was an online marketplace for fashion products. However, the startup failed to attract enough customers and was eventually acquired by another company.

  6. Harbhajan Singh: Harbhajan Singh invested in a sports-based startup called Flickstree, which was a video content aggregator platform. However, the platform failed to attract enough users and was eventually shut down.

  7. Zaheer Khan: Zaheer Khan invested in a startup called ProSport Fitness, which was a chain of fitness centers. However, the startup failed to expand and eventually shut down.

  8. Sourav Ganguly: Sourav Ganguly invested in a media startup called Funtasy11, which was a fantasy sports platform. However, the platform failed to gain traction and was eventually shut down.

  9. Anil Kumble: Anil Kumble invested in a gaming startup called Furlenco, which was a furniture rental platform. However, the startup failed to achieve profitability and faced financial troubles.

  10. Kapil Dev: Kapil Dev invested in a real estate project called Dev Musco, which was a sports-themed township. However, the project faced delays and legal troubles, leading to losses for investors including Kapil Dev.
